URSUS Metallurgical Factory in Warsaw offers products and servises in the following fields.

1. CASTING FOUNDRY'S production offer:
• castings from grey, low alloy and ductile cast iron, weighing from 0,5kg to 250kgs.

Foundry's speciality are semi-products for tractors and agricultural machinery industry, automobile industry, such as:


• cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, transmission housings,
• bodies, exhaust manifolds, ventilated disk brakes, camshalfts from chilled iron and castings for the hydraulic power systems.

Basic equipment.


• Melting in a "duplex" process, i.e. cupula + induction channel furnace or in mains frequency induction crucible furnaces.
• Light line capable of producing 180 moulds/h in flasks 600x500x150/150mm
• Two medium lines capable of producing 180 moulds/h each in flaks 830x600x250/250mm.
• Heavy line capable of producing 12 moulds/h flasks 1380x800x400/400mm
• Core making based on "hot-box" process and other methods in core-shooters and core blowers by COLEMAN, ROPERWORK, EUROCOR.
• Casting cleaning and shot blasting in continuous and batch machines by GEORG FISCHER.
2. ALUMINIUM FOUNDRY'S production offer:
• Gravity die castings weighing from 0,1g to 12 kg.
• Pressure die castings up to 1,5 kg.
• Unit sand castings up to 18 kg.

Aluminium foundry's speciality are gravity die castings for the tractor, agricultural machinery and automobile industry.

Basic equipment.

• Gas melting furnaces (capacity 0,6 Mg).
• Gravity die casting machines.
• Pressure die casting machine.
• Core-shooters and core blowers.
• Heat treatment furnaces.
3. FORGE SHOP'S production offer:
• Steel die forgings together with heat treatment.
• Weight of forgings from 0.2kg to 50 kg

Forge Shop's speciality are forgings for engines driving and steering assemblies such as:


• crankshafts, con rods, forks, valve rockers, shafts, axle shafts, steering knuckles, wheel hubs, hooks, Roman nuts, etc.

Basic equipment.


• Forging presses 1000, 1600, 2500, 2800, 4000 i 6500T.
• Upsetters 2", 3", 4" i 5" with a horizontal and vertical division of dies.
• Drop forging hammers 0,5T, 1T, 2T, 3T, 5T, 8T.
• Heat treatment furnaces.
4. METALLURGICAL TOOLING production offer:
• Pattern shop:
• Metal and metal-resin patterns for high pressure moulding.
• Wooden and plastic patterns.
• Hot and cold core boxes.
• Manual permanent moulds and for gravity die casting machines.
• Dummies and tooling for stamping presses.

Used materials:


wood, resins, Al alloys, carbon and alloy steels, bronzes, cast irons.
• Die shop:

Forge tooling and other universal tools.


• Dies for presses and hammers.
• Dies for upsetting and swaging machines.
• Dies for straightening and setting.
• Auxiliary tooling and workshop devices.

Basic equipment.

Spezialized machine tools enabling the manufacture of tooling up to the maximum diemensions:
